Kitten Valentine

Pick of the Week: February 13 – 19

And here it is – the day that can bring both happiness and sadness, depending on what your relationship status is and how you’re feeling about it. This day is certainly special to a lot of those happily “taken” or married, so even this week’s pick is going to be special – our own design for Valentine’s Day called Kitten Valentine, for all those who were made for loving each other. :-)

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY to those who celebrate it, and good nerves to those who don’t. ;-)

Take Me To Your Heart

This week’s pick makes me think of the 80′s. Bright colors, slightly crazy, a lot of fun. Whips, taming… Well, you get the idea. ;-) And because the 80′s brought a lot of good music, too, let’s rock to:

Take me to your heart, never let me go
If you knew what I’m feelin’, you would not say no
Take me to your heart, never let me go
For your love, for your love is all I need to know

Just because… *cracks whip* …it’s fun to tame someone’s heart. :D

I Want To Spend My Lifetime Loving You

Pick of the Week: January 30 – February 05

This Love Birds design proves that beautiful art can be found anywhere. Even something as small as a magnet on your fridge can be a tiny artistic jewel that you can be proud of. So if you’re still hesitating what to get for your “love bird”, what about buying this amazing magnet, booking a table in that restaurant your girlfriend keeps raving about and leaving her a note “Dinner in your favorite restaurant” under the magnet? Or do you have even better plans for the person you want to spend your lifetime with? ;-)

In The Arms Of An Angel

Pick of the Week: January 23 – 29

Let’s admit it. Valentine’s Day can be quite a stressful holiday for people who are alone. Wherever you go, there are hearts and other love symbols attacking you, and sometimes, when you don’t have your significant other yet, it just gets too much. Depending on your ways of coping with unpleasant situations, you want to either curl up, shout, cry, drink yourself under the table or shred all those annoying hearts into tiny little pieces, salt and burn those irritating shreds and bury them really deep in the ground… ;-) In a nutshell, the holiday might not be “hearts and fuzzies” for everyone and if you can’t cuddle with your partner, try to find at least a cuddly pet, pillow or anything else cuddly enough that will help you get through that day. :-)

What? No cuddly pet or pillow anywhere near you? So what about a necklace with this beautiful angel lady? Wouldn’t it make you feel as if you were in the arms of your very own angel? :-)

May Your Bed Never Be Cold

Pick of the Week: January 16 – 22

Valentine’s Day is less than a month away so this week’s pick brings you Kitten Valentine. We think it has enough “cute”, the perfect balance between  “sweet” and “artistic”, and the right amount of Valentine spirit.

In case you wonder why the title, watch this short video (although it’s not a song this time). May your bed never be cold, both on Valentine’s Day and throughout the whole year. :-)

Christmas Memories

Sunday brings two beautiful Christmas binder designs. Santa’s Workshop has a magical, fairy-tale feel – plenty of snow, windows revealing warm light inside, smoke rising up out of the chimney… The Christmas a child’s mind dreams about and loves. Red and Gold Christmas is a classy design with a color combination that never disappoints. It’s very fancy looking and will surely be appreciated by every classic art lover. But what would even the most beautiful binder be without something meaningful inside? So don’t forget to fill it with your favorite Christmas Memories. :)

Treat Me Nice This Christmas

Another Sexy Saturday is here (time sure does fly, huh?) and I’ve chosen another piece by the same artist we picked last Saturday. The reason is simple: I’ve found a sexy brunette on one of their products and I just had to share her with all those who might prefer dark-haired beauties to blondes. After all, beauty comes in many shapes, sizes and colors, and we all have that special one who sure treats us nice and we get all excited when they come and say: Merry Christmas, Baby. ;-)

Wait, wait, Mister Postman!

Have you sent out Christmas cards yet? If not, you definitely should as soon as possible. And if you’re someone who spends hours picking out the right Christmas card, you might try to go one step further this year and get yourself these customizable stamps. Make your Christmas cards special with these little pieces of art; so special that people will want to frame your cards and show them off to their friends. So hurry because you really don’t want your relatives and friends to beg like this:

Wait, oh yes, wait a minute, mister postman
Wait, wait, mister postman…

There must be some word today
From my best friend so far away
Please, mister postman, look and see
If there’s a letter, a letter for me…

Let there be Peace on Earth

After yesterday’s post about Peace on Earth, I just had to share one other design that popped up while searching “Peace on Earth”. It’s special to me because it’s by one of my favorite artists – I even have one of her prints hanging on my wall. You should check out all the other wonderful artwork by DudaDaze!

“Let there be peace on earth… and let it begin with me.” The sentiment brings to mind John Lennon’s Happy Xmas (War Is Over). Peace on Earth begins when all the wars end. Peace on Earth begins with me. There’s a Christmas Peace I can “imagine”! :-)

Christmas Wish

I’m going to let you in on a Christmas secret. (No, it’s not what I’m giving Dean for Christmas ;-) ) It’s my all-time favorite Christmas song since I was a child. I can remember watching this when it first aired and being blown away, not only by the unique combination but also by the message. It stayed with me for days afterward, and now that I’m older I understand why.

Every child must be made aware
Every child must be made to care
Care enough for his fellow man
To give all the love that he can…
I pray my wish will come true
For my child and your child too.

Now that I’ve got you in the Christmas spirit, I want to share two designs that remind me of my favorite song. It’s only fitting since it’s two songs in one with two uniquely wonderful singers.

May you have Peace this Christmas and all through the New Year.
